  8. Tidy is a small fast program designed to tidy up your HTML.
  9. It fixes several types off errors (such as incorrectly nested <B> and <I>
  10. tags, incorrectly opened and closed <Hx> tags, etc), and will also
  11. optionally reformat the HTML text to make your HTML source much more
  12. readable.
  13. Think of it as a sort of "lint" for HTML...

  16. Tidy is written and maintained by Dave Raggett of Hewlett Packard and the
  17. W3.
  18. This Amiga port is a direct, unmodified port of the 1st Sept 98 release,
  19. compiled by me under SAS/C 6.58.

  21. Should run on any Amiga running 3.1 (or probably 3.0 - this is untested
  22. though...) - there is no particular CPU requirement.

  25. Currently tidy runs from CLI only - I might work on a GUI or something if
  26. people think it would be useful...

  30. (as is the original source code), but tidy -help will give you a quick
  31. overview, and Overview.html in this archive is the current documentation
  32. provided by Dave (but check his website for any newer versions).

  36. although the version on Dave's site should also usually be the latest
  37. version too.

  40. Please let me know if you use the Amiga version - if no-one uses it then I
  41. may not bother recompiling when Dave releases new versions of the source
  42. code...
